The Global Burn Theory – Action

The Global Burn Theory is back with their brand new rocking single “Action.”

The Global Burn Theory consists of George Stackhouse (lead vocals and bass guitar), Robin (RJ) Mitchard (lead guitar and backing vocals), Charlie Stackhouse (drums), Phil Hammond (2nd guitar and backing vocals) and Barney Stackhouse (keyboards). The key songwriters are George and Phil, who both have a penchant for big groovy guitar riffs and catchy melodies (it’s all about the song). RJ Mitchard takes on all things shreddy, while Charlie and Barney take up the production/mixdown/arrangement responsibilities. 

The current line up was ultimately born out of bands going back to the 1980s. As the decades have rolled by, the lineup has changed, with the two longest-standing members now being Phil Hammond (who joined in 2005) and Barney Stackhouse (a founding member back in 1983). The band BURN released their first album, So Far, So Bad in 1993, and with Phil joining in 2005 completed and released Global Warning, in 2007. Roll on 10 years and the album Ice Age was released in 2017. Subsequently Barney’s sons George & Charlie have come of age and become very creative musicians in their own right. Having been in various bands of their own, along with their longstanding friend and shredder RJ Mitchard, it was a very natural progression for the three of them to join forces with their rock n roll elders to form The Global Burn Theory we have today. The Global Burn Theory are proud to be a part of Creative and Dreams Music Network alongside the legendary Sir Fred ‘Great Bass’ Cannon, who has a longstanding connection with Barney Stackhouse going back to the heady days of the late 1980s – early 1990s.
