Born and raised in New York, Lisa Messina has been entertaining with a strong passion for music since the age of 10. At a young age, Lisa began performing in Broadway style plays, learned to play acoustic guitar, engaged in writing lyrics, and started singing for others at public events.
Today, she is still graciously taking the stage and performing for many public events including charities, fund-raisers, festivals, and at live concert style events at high profile venues. Lisa has performed in a variety of tri-state shows and concerts singing along side and back-up for many well-known entertainers such as Gloria Gaynor, The Pointer Sisters, The Trammps, and Lime, just to name a few. She has been invited to perform at personal social events for actor Chazz Palminteri, former Mayor Giuliani, the Baldwin Brothers, and other high profile figures.
In the past, she has performed alongside her talented friends as an opening act for Italianlegends Umberto Tozzi, Toto Cutugno, Eros Ramazzotti, and many more in the industry.
Personally, Lisa states that her musical style has been influenced and inspired by some of the greatest iconic artists such as Celine Dion, Cher, Donna Summer, Lady Gaga, the Beatles… just to name a few.
Lisa is definitely a very well-rounded performer who can prestigiously handle singing most genre of music. Her musical talent is clearly displayed in her outstanding performances as she impeccably performs powerhouse ballads, disco classics, old-school freestyle, memorable standards of the 50’s through the 90’s, contemporary Christian songs to today’s hottest dance music.
Lisa has been in the musical scene for most of her life and has been told that she undoubtedly has touched the lives of others with her sweet, harmonious vocals and her kind heart. This is something she is proud of. Lisa believes that “Music is food for the soul and brings happiness to others”- and for this reason she remains extremely passionate in her musical journey and continues to strive to bring people together joyously through the mutual love of music.
