Introducing Nat Stuckey
Creative and Dreams Music Network, LLC, First Generation Records, and Fred Cannon, KHS are proud to welcome Nat Stuckey. Nat Stuckey did it all when it comes to the entertainment business. His career as a songwriter started in 1965, when he composed Buck Owens’ # 1 song, “Waitin’ In Your Welfare Line.” In 1966 he wrote “Sweet Thang” for Loretta Lynn, and in 1967, Nat penned the hit “Pop A Top” for Jim Ed Brown, which still stands as a fan favorite song. “Pop A Top” was re-recorded by Alan Jackson in 1999 and became a top ten hit once again on Country Radio. Nat also wrote “Diggin’ Up Bones,” which was a monster hit for Randy Travis, receiving over 3 million plays certified by Broadcast Music Inc. Nat’s baritone voice gave him a career as a giant country artist with seven top ten country hits. Nat’s career found another direction in the 1970s. He started producing sessions, and adding his voice to jingles for hundreds of national and regional commercials such as twenty-two spots for McDonald’s. Nat also found success writing commercials for Coca Cola and the last Spuds MacKenzie Budweiser commercial. If you thought you recognized the voice, you did.
